The first version of the biosecurity scoring system for pigs and website was developed in the Demo project 2006-7 of DGZ in collaboration with the Department for Reproduction, Obstetrics and Herd Health of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of Ghent University. The project was financed by the Flemish Government, Department for Agriculture and Fisheries, unit of Sustainable Agricultural development and the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development.
