Price for the full training (all 5 sessions + e-learning modules worth €60) is €475. The session on persuasion of farmers is optional to the program and costs €145 separately or €110 when part of the training package. The cost of the exam is €110 for those who want a certificate.

What topics are covered in the training?

The training provide participants with the knowledge and skills needed to evaluate and improve biosecurity measures on livestock farms using a structured, risk-based scoring tool.

The sessions are as follows:

Is the training specific to certain animal species or farm types?

General principles on biosecurity apply across species and production systems. In the practical examples we discuss applications in all major livestock species. Upon request we can tailor the training towards specific species.

Is the training available online or in person?

The training can be either virtual or in-person, depending on availability and preference.

What equipment or tools do I need?

Only a computer/smartphone with internet access is required for webinars and e-learning. For the farm visit, access to a farm (physically or virtually) is needed to complete the Biocheck.Ugent assessment.
